What is Tallos?
Tallos is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that lets you run several AI coding agents — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode and others — in parallel, each in its own isolated workspace, with chat, terminals, a browser and diff review built in. Squads let a leader agent coordinate the others for you.
How is Tallos different from an IDE?
An IDE is built around one person editing files, with AI added as a sidebar. Tallos is built around agents: you create tasks, assign them to agents, watch them run side by side and review what they produce. When you need to edit by hand, there is an editor inside.
Does Tallos replace Claude Code or Codex?
No. Tallos runs them. Your agents keep working exactly as they do in your terminal — Tallos gives them isolated workspaces, organizes their sessions and lets you run many at once.
Which AI coding agents are supported?
Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Grok CLI, Qwen Code and MiMo Code can be installed, signed in and configured from the Connections page. GitHub Copilot and 30+ other agent CLIs are detected automatically, and any other CLI agent can be added as a custom agent.
What is a squad?
A squad is a leader agent plus members. You give the leader an objective and write what each member does; the leader splits the work, supervises the members, loops within the round and member limits you set, asks you only when it is blocked, and ends with a report for you to approve. Squads can be saved, re-run and scheduled.
What can I use a squad for?
Anything you would split across people: building a feature across API, UI and tests; trying three approaches to a hard problem and keeping the best; a refactor with a dedicated reviewer; fixing a bug straight from a Linear, Jira, GitHub or GitLab link; test-coverage sweeps; or recurring maintenance on a schedule.
How much does a squad run cost?
Squads run on the agent subscriptions and API keys you already have. You control the spend with the round and member limits, and the run history shows an estimated cost when the agents report their usage.
How do I set up my agents?
Open Settings → Connections. Each agent has a card to install it with the vendor's verified command, open its login or save an API key in secure storage, and see its models. The first-run setup also detects the agents you already have.
Is Tallos available in Portuguese?
Yes. You can pick the app language on the welcome screen: English, Português (Brasil), Español, Français, 日本語, 한국어 or 中文.
Do I need separate AI subscriptions?
Tallos works with the subscriptions and API keys you already have. It does not resell model access, so there is no new AI subscription required to run your agents.
How do isolated workspaces work?
Each task gets its own working copy of your repository on its own branch. Agents can install, build and test without touching each other's files. When you are done, you merge the result like any other branch.
Can multiple agents work on the same repository?
Yes — that is the point. Several agents can work on the same repo at the same time, each in its own workspace, so you can split a feature across agents or give the same task to several and keep the best result.
Does Tallos run on Windows?
Yes. Tallos is a native desktop app for Windows 10 and later.
Does Tallos run on macOS?
Yes. Tallos runs on macOS 13 and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Can I review agent changes before merging?
Always. Every workspace has a diff view where you can read changes, comment on specific lines and send that feedback back to the agent. Nothing is merged until you approve it.
